The rollout

Hamburg first, and only then anywhere else.

A global ranking needs millions of players to be interesting. A district ranking needs eleven. What is scarce here is density in one place, not reach — so the ladder opens one city at a time.

Seven districts are live. A region that is not open yet carries a threshold: once enough people are waiting for it, it opens itself and everybody waiting is told. Scarcity is code here, not marketing.

Open districts

Waiting to open

Ordered by how many people are waiting. Nothing here opens on a decision by us.

Asking…

Why a district and not a city

A title is only worth something if it was hard to get and somebody else wanted it. A region here awards a title only once it has had enough contenders and produced a unique winner — and every leaderboard says honestly whether it can crown anybody at all.

Nothing finer than a district is ever stored: no coordinates, no address, no IP as truth. A home district is locked for the season, so nobody can move to whichever district happens to be emptiest.
